ePortPass — the reader that opens doors for people, not cards

The flagship contactless palm vein door reader. Present your hand and a liveness-checked match against 5 million vein points opens the door in under two seconds — no card to lose, lend, or clone.

ePortPass

A palm-vein upgrade for the doors you already control

ePortPass interfaces with your existing access control over Wiegand or OSDP, so it drops in wherever a card reader lives today. It powers electric strikes and magnetic locks directly, installs over a single PoE run, and verifies identity from the unique vein pattern inside the hand — a biometric that can't be shared, lifted from a surface, or spoofed by a photo.

How it works

From scan to access in two seconds

Enroll

About 15 seconds per hand captures 5 million vein points into an encrypted template — no fingerprints, no photos.

Present

Hold your palm a few centimeters above the contactless reader. Nothing to touch, tap, or swipe.

Verify

A liveness-checked match releases the strike or mag-lock and logs the event with a timestamp.

Fujitsu PalmSecure sensor at the heart of ePortPass
Built on Fujitsu PalmSecure

Military-grade biometrics, drop-in install

The PalmSecure sensor reads the vein pattern beneath the skin using near-infrared light — invisible from the outside and impossible to leave behind on a doorknob. ePortID has deployed this technology across ports and secure facilities for more than 20 years.

  • 99.99991% verification accuracy
  • Contactless — hygienic and fast
  • Vein pattern can't be shared or spoofed

What it interfaces with

ePortPass pairs the reader with a door control unit that handles the lock hardware and signals your panel. It's designed to slot into the infrastructure you already run.

  • Outputs to existing access control via Wiegand or OSDP
  • Drives electric strikes and magnetic locks
  • Powered and networked over a single PoE run
  • One-, two-, or three-part authentication options
  • Tamper-evident audit trail with real-time alerts
