The Scanner

The F-Pro scanner, made by Fujitsu, is small (29mm x 29mm x 13mm) but mighty.

Rated for 1,000,000 hours of operation (that’s about 114 years).

It emits a low infra-red light (about the same strength as a TV remote)
to detect the pattern of veins beneath the skin and check for 'liveness".

Enrollment takes about 15 seconds per hand.

From 5 million different points an identity is created and converted into a long, highly encrypted number.

Upload an Excel or CSV file from your existing records and then all you do is “attach” the palm vein pattern.

The Lights

Six LED’s for user feedback. We usually only use two of the six so, if in the unlikely event of a bulb failing, there are four spare that can be used.

DCU (door control unit)

The DCU is a PoE (power over Ethernet and uses a Cat6 cable) device that powers the F-Pro sensor, lights, RFID readers and electric strikes.
Integrated into the DCU is a module for bi-directional I/O data, an OSDP unit and a 12V relay.
It connects to a managed switch for remote monitoring and administration.
A PoE unit provides great flexibility in deployment and does not require licensed electrician to install.
